Responsibilities:

• Stress the need to prioritize road safety while driving tractor-trailers.
• Make sure to conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle both prior to departing and upon returning to ensure it meets road safety standards.
• Create optimized routes to increase effectiveness and guarantee punctual deliveries.
• Make sure to follow the regulations for handling and packaging to ensure the safe delivery of shipments.
• Effective communication with dispatchers and clients throughout deliveries is crucial for successful outcomes.
• Record hours worked and scheduled vehicle maintenance accurately.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations provided by the Department of Transportation (DOT) for the protection of both workers and cargo.
• Promptly disclose any vehicle concerns, incidents, or infractions to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

• An authentic Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is a prerequisite.
• Clean driving record.
• Complying with the DOT's mandates for health assessments and drug testing.
• Mastery in managing time effectively and coordinating tasks efficiently.
• Profound expertise in the safe and efficient transfer of massive and unwieldy cargo.
• Exhibits outstanding skills in customer relationship management and building lasting client rapport.
• Commitment to upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance, including the prompt reporting of incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Participants
• A structured 12-week training curriculum has been introduced for commercial drivers starting at the entry level to promote accelerated learning. Participants with experience levels ranging from 3 months to over 5 years are accommodated in the course

Preferred Experience:

• Skilled in operating a range of trailer models, such as dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Proficiency in operating with doubles or triples, intermodal transit options, and the transport of automotive vehicles.
• Familiarity with managing household items and specialized merchandise.
