Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles, specifically tractor-trailers, while emphasizing the importance of road safety and operational efficiency.
• Confirm the roadworthiness of the vehicle through meticulous inspections before and after the journey.
• Improve delivery route planning to optimize efficiency and meet specified delivery times.
• Follow the necessary protocols for handling and packaging to protect goods during transportation.
• Sustain clear and unwavering communication with dispatchers and clients.
• Keep careful records of work hours and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to the safety regulations and guidelines set by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Reporting vehicle problems, incidents, or violations promptly is essential to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Meeting the requirements for a Class A Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL).
• Clean driving history without any serious violations.
• Adhering to the DOT's expectations for physical examinations and substance abuse evaluations.
• The ability to organize effectively and manage time well is valuable.
• Proficient in the safe and secure management of large or oversized cargo during transportation.
• Effective customer service skills underscored by a dedication to fostering meaningful connections.
• Ensuring the consistent implementation of safety measures and compliance with regulations, including promptly reporting any incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.

Preferred Experience:

• Skill in managing various trailer models, like dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Knowledge of coordinating and optimizing multiple unit operations, combined vehicle tasks, and multi-modal transportation strategies.
• Proficiency in managing household belongings and unique cargo handling.
